This is a brand new two-bedroom ADU, 708 square feet, on its own fenced lot with a private entrance and patio.

If you like colorful, quirky, warm, cozy, and cheerful, then this is your place! We are new to hosting but have stayed in lots of Airbnbs and have tried to provide every amenity and comfort that you might need.

Living + Kitchen

Bright open living and kitchen area with a sofa, smart TV, and a dining table with 4 stools.
If needed the couch can be flattened into a roughly twin sized bed. Let us know if you'll be having an extra guest so we can provide sheets for the pull-out sofa.

The kitchen is full-size: huge fridge/freezer, electric range/oven with hood, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, and a Nespresso machine for actual good coffee. Pots, pans, dishes, knives, and utensils are all there if you want to cook.

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1: Queen bed with built-in reading lights and charging in the headboard. Desk and chair, full-length mirror, closet with hangers, luggage rack, and blackout curtain.

Bedroom 2: Bunk beds - twin XL on top, standard twin on the bottom. Comfortable for two adults or kids. Nightstand with a lamp and charging. Blackout curtain.

Bathrooms

2 full baths with a tub/shower combo, bidet attachment in 1 of the bathrooms, hair dryer, and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, soap).

Climate

The HVAC system is new and extremely efficient, which matters in a Sacramento summer. There are separate controls in the living room and both bedrooms so you can adjust to everyone's comfort.

Outside

Private patio with a picnic table, benches, an umbrella, and string lights.
Washer and dryer are in an enclosed outdoor shed a few steps from the front door.

Getting In

Access is from an alley through a sliding gate.

Enter on your own via keypad (one on the gate, another on the unit door). You'll get both codes before check-in. Check-in time is totally flexible after 3pm.

A heads up on the gate: it's a heavy rolling gate that you drag open by hand rather than swing. It's not difficult, but it takes a solid pull.

There is also a swinging gate door that is easy to enter if you're on foot, but if you have a car you must use the rolling gate.

A note on the building

"Tiger House" is one 708 sq ft building. You're booking the whole house here, but the 2 units can also be booked separately as a 1-bedroom and studio since they have their own private entrances, bathrooms, and amenities.

The neighborhood

Located in North Oak Park, you have easy access to most of the city:

*Midtown & Downtown - restaurants, bars, tourist sites, museums, the farmers market, etc. - all within about 10 minutes driving or an easy, flat bike ride.
*Channel 24 concert venue - ~20 minutes walking
*UC Davis Medical Center - a few minutes away. Convenient for traveling medical staff, patients, and visiting family.
*East Sacramento & Curtis Park - leafy streets, walking loops, coffee.
*Grocery stores and markets - Smart & Final, Sacramento Natural Foods Co-Op, and Bonfare market/gas station are all within walking distance, plus several other stores within a short drive or bike ride.
*Hwy 50 and Business 80 - quick on-ramps toward Tahoe, Napa, or the Bay.

About the area: This is a working, in-transition part of Sacramento, and like in much of the city, you may sometimes see people who are unhoused nearby, particularly on nearby Alhambra Blvd. The lot is fully fenced with exterior lighting and cameras at the entry. We've had no actual issues on the property, but we'd rather you know what to expect than be surprised, and if anything ever makes you uncomfortable, message us.
