About this house rental
Inside, large windows let daylight flood into the open living room, where you can gather after a day outdoors. The fireplace provides warmth on chilly evenings, and the loft offers an extra place to retreat to. The cabin has three bedrooms and a sofa bed in the loft, and it's well-suited for families or couples looking to spend peaceful days together.
Outside, there's plenty of space for morning coffee, barbecue dinners, and long summer evenings. The cabin sits in a sunny and relatively sheltered location, with a hot tub and a view of the water. You'll also have two parking spaces and access to an electric car charger.
A trail below the cabin takes you to the sandy beach at Skarvann in about ten minutes. Just a one-minute walk away is the Jegertunet Holiday Centre, which features an outdoor pool during the summer months and tennis courts. The cabin area also has a football pitch, a sand volleyball court and a playground.
If you’d like to explore more of Southern Norway, Risør offers white wooden houses, narrow streets, and cafés by the harbour—about a half-hour drive away. In the summer, you can also take the wooden ferry from Hodnebøkilen into town. At Camp Skarvann, you can rent a canoe or kayak and explore the area from the water.
If there's snow, the nearest cross-country ski trail's just a 15-minute drive from the cabin, featuring a lovely 2.5 km-long, lit loop. Otherwise, there are also larger trail networks at Vegårshei, Drivheia, and Felle—just a 45-minute drive from the cabin. The nearest ski lift for downhill skiing is at the Vegårshei Ski and Activity Centre, about 40 minutes away. It’s also possible to drive to a larger ski resort at Gautefall, about 1.5 hours away.
