About this house rental
Slow down beneath the live oaks and unwind among the prickly pear at Cactus & Oak. This two-acre Hill Country getaway pairs hammock afternoons and firepit evenings with a fenced backyard for time outside with your dogs. Explore Dripping Springs and Wimberley, then return for dinner on the patio and a little game room competition. Freshly furnished with space for up to 8, it’s a place to spend less time planning and more time together.
The Space:
Outdoor Living
Start your morning with coffee on the patio while the day wakes up around you. Stretch out in a hammock, challenge someone to cornhole or let the kids enjoy the tree swing. Mature oaks and clusters of prickly pear give these two acres their distinctly Hill Country character, with a fenced backyard offering room to enjoy the outdoors together.
When dinner rolls around, fire up the propane grill and gather at the outdoor table with seating for eight. On evenings when conditions allow, finish around the wood-burning firepit—with supplies from the pantry’s s’mores station close at hand.
Game Room
Keep the fun going with foosball and a basketball shootout in the converted garage game room. This separate gathering space gives kids somewhere to play and everyone a chance for a friendly rematch. A bar-height table seats four, and board games are available inside the home.
Comfortable Gathering Spaces
New furniture and thoughtful décor make it easy to settle in. Curl up in the living room after a day exploring, or linger over a meal at the indoor dining table with seating for seven.
The kitchen has everyday cooking essentials, a new refrigerator, a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, so breakfast can be as simple as a fresh cup of coffee or a full family spread.
Sleeping Arrangements
Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms make Cactus & Oak a welcoming fit for families or couples traveling with children, with sleeping space for up to eight guests.
The primary bedroom has a king bed and a dedicated workspace. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third has a twin-over-full bunk bed. All three bedrooms have blackout shades for slower mornings. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room offers another sleeping option.

Spend the morning browsing Dripping Springs, head to Wimberley for lunch and shopping, and still have time to relax back at the house. Cactus & Oak sits between the two towns in Driftwood—approximately 4.7 miles from downtown Dripping Springs and 10.2 miles from Wimberley.
