Old log house with authentic charm in Kvinesdal

We built this log cabin nearly a century ago, and we've preserved the original walls, wooden floors, and doors exactly as they've always been. You'll enjoy an experience reminiscent of FARMEN—a hundred years back in time—with modern conveniences such as running water, electricity, and appliances. The road leading up to the cabin is private and steep, and there's virtually no traffic.



We've renovated the house in the old style to blend in with its original charm. Many old family photos hang on the walls, telling the house’s story. There’s room for plenty of guests, and the rooms offer everything you need for a comfortable stay—without anything feeling out of place or inappropriately modern.



Outside the house, cows and sheep graze during the summer months. You've got access to a volleyball net, a fire pit and outdoor games—enough to make you forget about your phone and telly. There's good mobile signal for those who still want to stay connected. You can use a boat, and there are fishing and swimming spots nearby.



The famous viewpoint's about a 15–20-minute walk from the front door, offering a view of Kvinesdal. Downtown Kvinesdal's about 3 km from the house, with bakeries, restaurants and Kvinabadet. The mining village of Knaben, with its ski resort and hiking trails, lies north of downtown. Flekkefjord, Lista and Kristiansand are all within easy reach.
