Contemporary 1-bedroom apartment with balcony, air conditioning, 50m from beach

The location is awesome - steps to the park, transport, restaurants, the old town, etc. We stayed for a week. The noise level at night was fine during the week (no earplugs needed unless you're a light sleeper - hey, you're in the city so it's gonna have some noise). The old town out the bedroom window was a bit loud on Friday and Saturday nights (earplugs were useful). The windows are very good quality but the partiers were loud in the normally quiet alley out the bedroom window. The apartment is nicely equipped - tea kettle, loads of silverware, nice selection of glassware, etc. It was the first VRBO with a washer / dryer where the dryer feature worked well. AirCon was useful in the late afternoon when it was muggy. The furniture is comfortable. The view out the windows is fabulous - the pictures in the listing are very real. Relaxing with a cuppa or just reading in the sun on the balcony is a treat. It is up 2 flights of stairs. We walked them several times a day and were fine. But, be sure you're up for the steps. Be aware that the bed fills most of the bedroom. It's a very tight squeeze walking past the end of the bed. And there's limited hanging space. There is a very commodious chest in the living room that we used for our clothes that worked perfectly. Mike & Val are easy to work with and very easy to reach. For Americans (like me), remember to dial "+33 6 [mobile #]" when dialing or texting a cell phone in France. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
