About this house rental
More than just a vacation rental, Merryland is a piece of architectural history. The home is the first passive solar house built east of the Mississippi River, thoughtfully designed to capture natural sunlight and mountain views while providing year-round comfort. Its distinctive soapstone floors add warmth, character, and a unique connection to the home’s passive-solar design.
This fully furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath home comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests, making it ideal for couples, a small family, or friends looking for a peaceful mountain escape. The first-floor queen bedroom features a full bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a separate bathtub, offering comfort and convenience. Upstairs, the second queen bedroom has its own full bathroom with a shower/tub combination. With a bedroom and full bathroom on each level, Merryland provides a comfortable layout with privacy for everyone.
One of Merryland’s most inviting features is its bright sunroom, which opens directly onto the large outdoor deck and connected gazebo. Together, they create an expansive outdoor living area—perfect for morning coffee, outdoor dining, relaxing with a book, or enjoying an evening surrounded by the sights and sounds of the mountains.
