About this villa rental
The heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen, living, and dining, warmed by a gas fire and opening straight out to a large deck. Out here you'll find a spa to soak in, a big awning for those super-hot days, and an outdoor table that cleverly converts into table tennis or pool. Off the deck is a dedicated media room with big, sink-in sofas, the ideal spot for a movie night. There's a trampoline on the lawn as well.
The home is set over two levels. Upstairs are the master with a king bed, built-in wardrobes, and a private ensuite, and a second bedroom with a double bed and its own ensuite. Downstairs you'll find the third bedroom with a queen bed, a home office with a desk and chair, and a bathroom with both a bath and a shower. There's a scullery off the kitchen for extra prep and storage, and a separate laundry. The home sleeps six comfortably.
Narrow Neck is one of the North Shore's most loved beachside pockets, quiet, leafy, and moments from the water. Narrow Neck Beach is a calm, family-friendly swimming beach with a grassy reserve and a playground close by. The Narrow Neck Café does arguably the best pies in the area, along with great ice creams and excellent coffee, and nearby you'll find Chateaubriant, a wonderful French deli, and The Milk Bar for its gelato. Historic Devonport village is close by too, with its cafés, restaurants, boutique shops, and the climb up Mt Victoria for sweeping harbour views.
A car is handy for exploring, with off-street parking for one and plenty of free parking on the street. For a car-free day out, the Devonport ferry crosses to downtown Auckland in around 12 minutes. It is roughly a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute drive to the ferry, and local buses service the area.
