Trade the noise for the tide. This freshly renovated first-floor retreat on Manasota Key is built for slow mornings, ocean breezes, and the kind of laid-back pace this stretch of the coast is known for.
Designed with couples in mind (though there's room for four!), the space blends clean, modern updates with an easy, breezy coastal aesthetic — think natural textures, warm light, and just enough style to feel like a boutique stay rather than a rental. Unwind on your own screened lanai, the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail.
Beach access is walking distance...just across Beach Rd. The beach was largely eroded away in the immediate vicinity of the Slackin' Kraken beach access.
For OUR Beach access, to get your toes in the water, you'll have to cross a rock barrier of sorts. It isn't an ideal situation for the very young, the elderly, or the handicapped. See photos.
There are MANY beaches within minutes of the Slackin' Kraken, three of which are accessible with the Stumpy's Free Ride, the island's free shuttle service. These beaches are Blind Pass Beach, Englewood Beach, and Stump Pass Beach and State Park.
They're planning on revitalizing the beach at some point this winter after turtle nesting season.
