Castle Black by AvantStay | Mountain & City Views | Hot Tub + Sauna & Gym | Trails to Mt Sanitas

Perched above Boulder with unobstructed views of the city and the Rockies beyond, this 10,466-square-foot estate is a rare convergence of European design sensibility and Colorado's most dramatic natural landscape. Floor-to-ceiling German windows frame the mountains like living art, flooding every room with light and pulling the outside in — whether you're gathered around the fireplace in the main living room or cooking a proper meal in the gourmet kitchen outfitted with high-end appliances built for serious entertaining. Step outside, and the property opens up completely. A large uncovered deck with generous seating offers panoramic views that stretch across the city, while the mountain-side dining deck — anchored by a built-in grill and set against raw natural rock formations — is the kind of place where a dinner becomes an occasion. After dark, ease into the hot tub perched at the deck's edge with the Boulder skyline glowing below. When the day calls for something different, the indoor sauna and private gym offer space to recharge, while the theater room sets the stage for unforgettable movie nights. Five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, are designed with the same attention to comfort that defines the rest of the house. The primary suite features a king bed, a fireplace, a private balcony, and an ensuite with both a walk-in shower and a deep soaking tub. A second king suite offers its own fireplace. Two queen rooms — one with balcony access — complete the sleeping arrangements alongside a loft with a sleeper sofa, comfortably accommodating up to ten guests across five full and two half bathrooms. The location is equally considered. Private hiking trails lead directly from the property to Mount Sanitas, one of Boulder's most beloved summits, with downtown just minutes beyond. Pearl Street Mall — the city's vibrant core of boutique shops, restaurants, and live street performances — is an 8-minute drive. Chautauqua Park and the iconic Flatirons are roughly 13 minutes south, where guests can tackle the Royal Arch Trail or catch a summer concert at the historic auditorium.
