LUXURY APARTMENT CALM GARDEN COURSE MIRABEAU

The location of this apartment was perfect. We could walk to everything - restaurants, shops, and sites. The owner was very helpful and timely. The apartment was clean and well furnished. Could have used more towels and paper products. We totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Excellent location and great host. Unit was as advertised. We used the garage for our car and that was an excellent choice and worth the extra price.

A lovely clean comfortable well equipped apartment in the best location in Aix! It is so peaceful yet only a few steps away from the Cours Mirabeau with its restaurants, bars, cafe's, shops and hustle and bustle. Communication with our hosts was excellent and a huge thank you to Georges who was so helpful. He was there to greet us when our flights were changed and we arrived in the early hours of the morning and always on hand if we needed any advice. We will definitely return!

We loved this apartment and are already thinking about renting it again next year for a longer period. Every morning when we walked out the front gate and emerged in to the lively atmosphere of the beautiful Cour Mirabeau, we felt as though there could not be a more perfect location. We could walk anywhere in the central core of the city, and on the occasions when we wanted to go outside the city (to hike Mte. Ste. Victoire or go to Arles), the walk to the gare routière was very convenient. The apartment is part of a classy recent development with lovely landscaping and access to two other streets in addition to the Cour. It was very quiet, and because it is so well built, we hardly heard any noise from the adjoining apartment. This was a boon to a good night’s sleep! We loved the small garden with several plants in bloom including camelia. Coming “home” for lunch and sitting outside to eat was so nice. The kitchen is a little jewel with a window to the garden and quality appliances plus many countertop conveniences; e.g., electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, etc. However, we often had to resort to the manuals for the operation of unfamiliar appliances like the induction stovetop and the microwave. Fortunately, I am fluent in French, but it was still a bit of a struggle to understand the manuals. The bedroom was quite nice with a good quality bed, lots of storage space, and push-button blinds that allow total room darkening and privacy. The bathroom was like a good hotel’s, though getting used to the water closet being around the corner took a few days to get used to. The living room/dining room is comfortable and spacious. We were on the go so much that we never once turned on the big TV! WiFi worked perfectly all through our visit with never a glitch. The owner met us upon our arrival in Aix despite its conflict with her daughter’s birthday party. We appreciated being able to get into the apartment a few hours early so that we could crash upon direct arrival from the States. There wasn’t much communication during the week, but then we really didn’t need any help with anything. If we did, we felt confident she would respond. Again stressing location, to be in a modern apartment while in the heart of the historic city was terrific! We felt fortunate to have been guests here.
