About this cottage rental
Some escapes require a little effort — Addie's Cottage rewards it. This light-filled cottage sits in the Shenandoah foothills with forest views, room for six, and a fire pit with firewood waiting at day's end. Pets welcome. A mile away, your private Shenandoah River access point offers swimming and kayaking on a quiet stretch of water. Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns, and local wineries are minutes away.
Walk in and you're immediately in the sitting area — a welcoming landing spot just off the front door, perfect for kicking off your shoes and settling in. The open living area up a short flight of stairs has big windows, forest views, and comfortable furniture that actually invites you to stay a while, including a pullout sofa that sleeps two when you need the extra space. The living area flows into a fully equipped kitchen designed for real cooking: leisurely breakfasts, easy dinners, snacks between adventures. The antique farmhouse dining table seats six, so everyone eats together.
MAIN BEDROOM — Queen Room & Board mattress upstairs with the bathroom just steps away. Built for a good night's sleep after a full day outside.
SECOND BEDROOM — Two Room & Board twin mattresses downstairs, ideal for kids or friends.
Outside, the patio is set up for real use: propane grill and picnic table for meals in the open air. When evening comes, head to the fire pit — set apart from the patio for the full experience — and settle in for stargazing and storytelling. We provide the firewood, you bring the stories.
