Agriturismo Poggio Istiano

This agriturismo is a working farm. They grow wheat, grapes, and olives. Titziana was a most gracious host! We arrived late due to getting lost picking up our car in Florence but she was most forgiving. We stayed here three nights and every day Titziana shared with us things to do, places to go that were worthy of our time, and set me up with a fabulous cooking class with a friend of hers. It was a wonderful experience for our last day near Bagno Vignoni. Her young kitty, Gina, was adorable and adopted us for a few days with cuddles and purrs. The grounds are spectacular! Breathtaking views from every spot on the property as it sits at the top of a hill. Our room was wonderful. It has a deep tub as well as a shower that has the ultimate spray! The kitchen is perfectly sized and we enjoyed cooking some of Poggluo Istiano’s tagliatelle pasta to have for dinner. The wines were all fantastic! A choice of three, we tried them all and bought more for the road! We enjoyed breakfast on the last day where we tasted most scrumptious eggs, and baked goods. Titziana runs this agriturismo on her own, creating varieties of pasta, delicious wines, and olive oil as well! Staying at Pogglio Istiano was the highlight of our trip to Italy!! We’d love to go back and stay here again!!

There was nothing we didn’t like… everything was fabulous! Next time though, we’d like to stay when it’s warmer so we can enjoy the saltwater pool!!! Stunning views from the pool as well!!

We had a wonderful stay at this agriturismo! The view is absolutely breathtaking, and our Almond apartment was both modern and cozy - beautifully designed yet keeping an authentic charm. Other apartments are designed in a more Tuscan farm style. The location is perfect, easy to reach and close to all the main attractions in the area. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and even offered an upgrade when we asked to stay another night because we loved the place so much. parking was available and the adorable kitten on the property was such a sweet touch. Highly recommended!

Don’t trust what you see on the pictures - it’s 100x better! The best part is when you realise you’re heading towards that house on the hill while you jokingly say “imagine it’s that house over there”. Well don’t imagine - it is that one! 😍 Perfectly maintained garden. Very nice kitchen, loved its style and the huge island, huge bed, the jacuzzi in the room and the view from there… 😍 There is a library of books available for you to read while enjoying the serene views as well as a selection of the family’s own wine, olive oil and pasta (ofc at an extra but affordable cost). If you read one bad comment about this property, you must know that that person looks for needle in a haystack.

This agriturismo set up on top of a Hili (Poggio) a phenomenal view of the surrounding valleys. Entrance to the property is past a traditional working Tuscan farm and along a line of iconic cypress trees. The property is immaculate and wonderfully landscaped mingling in aesthetic elements that give way to the surrounding olive groves and Vineyard. The apartments are spacious and wonderfully appointed, with comfortable beds, kitchenette, and living area. The facility was fully occupied during our stay, but it was incredibly peaceful and quiet. We did not hear our neighbor neighbors, and hopefully they did not hear us! The property also has a wonderful swimming pool and plenty of deck chairs to relax in the afternoon and early evening. We had a few preconceived notions of the Tuscan countryside prior to this trip, but our experience at this agriturismo we’re well above expectations. We would hardly recommend this property and are already discussing when we can return! The hostess Titiana, was welcoming an incredibly helpful, providing useful suggestions and recommendations to make our stay and travels around the neighboring countryside that much more special. This very hard-working woman not only ran her farm, but also personally attended to us guests on the property. Each morning her and her assistant put on a wonderful breakfast. Fresh jams, fruits, bakery items made to order eggs, tea, coffees, and more. The weather, fully cooperated and allowed us to enjoy our breakfast outside with incredible views! We could not imagine a better experience for a first time in Tuscany.

I am racking my brain, trying to come up with some helpful suggestion for this property but I’m having a difficult time. I have to come up with something so here goes: the assigned parking spaces could be a little wider (we had a medium size SUV).
