Larocchettina

Klein, maar smaakvol ingericht appartementje met alle modern comfort. Eigenares zorgde ook voor water, koffiepads, thee, peper, zout ...Uiterst rustig in hoog gelegen dorpje waar je langs alle kanten fantastische uitzichten hebt. Wij vonden het kleine terrasje (enkel bij het kleine appartement heb je terras) heel fijn om er te ontbijten. Er zijn geen voedingswinkels, maar wel twee restaurants en langs een niet moeilijk, prachtig wandelpad bereik je pizzzeria met groot terras en vandaar ook het nabijgelegen Castiglione d'Orcia.

L'appartamento è situato nel borgo medievale di Rocca dove non possono transitare auto se non autorizzate. L'accoglienza, la pulizia, la cura dei servizi e degli arredi oltre alla tranquillità sono i punti forti. Una vacanza di 4 giorni che ricorderemo e che vorremmo ripetere.

The apartment was very modern. The kitchen and bathroom were very nice. The kitchen is well stocked with silverware, utensils, pots and pans. Nice size refrigerator.

There are two apartments. Borgo Maestro 16 and Borgo Maestro 18. I booked Borgo Maestro 18 and my booking confirmation says Borgo Maestro 18, but we were put in the smaller apartment, Borgo Maestro 16. When I asked about this I was told by the interpreter for the apartment representative that both apartments go by Borgo Maestro 18. That's nonsense. They have separate addresses. See my photos. The apartment is listed as Castiglione d' Orcia, but it's actually in Rocco d'Orcia. The parking is in a public parking lot about 150 meter walk uphill/downhill from the apartment. Look at it from Google Earth. Parking lot is south of the apartment. The Borgo Maestro 18 apartment has two entry doors and only one window. The doors do not have screens and with no air conditioning, we could not leave the doors open. There were a lot of mosquitoes, so could not leave the doors open. We were told there were no mosquitoes, but found quite a few mosquito coils, candles and repellents in drawers in the apartment. The apartment was hot during the day and stuffy at night with no breeze, only fans.
