The Harz Mountains offer a wonderful vacation for every guest. From spring through fall, you can enjoy beautiful hikes and swim in the nearby lakes.
On snow-free days, this area is also a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. There
are many spots for climbers and numerous geocaching locations.
Motorcyclists love the area, as it’s home to some of Germany’s most beautiful routes set in
fairy-tale-like natural scenery.PGJyLz4PGJyLz4Beautiful natural landscapes, forests, mountains, crystal-clear mountain lakes, and
numerous monuments and attractions in the surrounding area make
Hahnenklee a magnet for tourists.
Hahnenklee is a popular health resort and winter sports destination. Guests visit throughout all seasons
. With the nearby aerial cableway, you can quickly reach the
Bocksberg and ski or sled back down. Thanks to the
summer toboggan run, you can even do so without snow.
In winter, there are trails for cross-country and downhill skiing, or you can simply relax in the Harz Nature Park or just enjoy the day and evening on our balcony.
There are plenty of places to visit, such as Goslar, Bad Harzburg, Osterrode, Weringerrode, etc.
We visited the Harz Mountains for the first time in June 2020 and loved it so much which is why we’ve set up a vacation home here so we can share this wonderful region with others.
The Brocken—as the Bocksberg is also known—has been a place steeped in legend since the Middle Ages
. Legend has it that on Walpurgis Night—
the night of April 30 to May 1—witches dance here with the Devil himself. Goethe also told us about this
in *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*. Even today, there are still lively celebrations here during this time!

“Harz Stube” vacation rental:
The Harz Stube is a cozy, 48 m² vacation apartment that sleeps up to 4 people. It features two separate bedrooms, a cozy living room, and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stove, coffee maker, and other kitchen utensils. The furnished balcony is perfect for relaxing and offers the chance to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Amenities also include free Wi-Fi, a TV, a DVD player, and a hair dryer. This non-smoking apartment is located on the 5th floor of an apartment building and is also ideal for guests traveling with pets. Perfect for a relaxing vacation in the Harz Mountains.
On-site costs: A 100% prepayment is charged upon booking.Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge; cancellations made between 14 and 7 days before arrival will be charged 50% of the total cost; cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will be charged 100% of the total cost. Check-in is available starting at 4:00 PM. Check-out is due by 10:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times may be arranged upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner to make arrangements, if necessary. Keys are provided via a key safe. You will receive the code well in advance of your arrival. Pets are allowed for a fee of €20 per pet. Maximum of 2 pets. For pets weighing more than 15 kg, a €50 deposit per pet is required. The tourist tax of €3.00 per person per night will be charged in advance via bank transfer. A linen package can be provided upon request for a fee of €20 per person per stay.
