About this farm stay rental

Full apartment suite on the second floor of a newly renovated, historic 1901 farm house. Vintage appeal with all updated amenities. Great for one person or a couple with pets. Brand new, well-stocked full kitchen with granite countertops and large decadent 3/4 bath with gorgeous rain shower. One bedroom with large south facing windows overlooking the yard. Work area with roll top desk. Lots of natural light. Shared laundry on first floor. Separate designated entrance.

Large open yard with giant shade trees, gardens, furniture, tree swing, picnic table, fire pit, and privacy fence. A quiet green oasis in a historical commercial neighborhood just at the edge of the action downtown. Yard great for dogs. We have one dog on site and will split off-leash time in the yard if you also have a dog.

Tucked into a historic corner on the south edge of downtown Loveland, between the historic Empson Pea Cannery factory buildings and the iconic Feed & Grain (newly renovated into artist studios), this 1901 farmhouse property is within walking distance from shops, restaurants, bars, theaters, rec center and downtown events. To the south is Fairgrounds Park, with farmers market, dog park, skate park, playground, and biking/walking trails. To the west is River's Edge natural area with trails and fishing ponds.

Amy and Joshua are artists who’ve been renovating this property since 2019. Once a working farm, the house was hand-built in 1901 by a son of the prominent Derby family (of Derby Hill, to the south) and daughter of the locally famous Barnes family who founded the city of Loveland. The Empson pea cannery factory was right across the street, and the Feed & Grain is nearby. Since then it’s been a horse farm, a mechanic's playground, and a family residence for generations.

Amy's ceramics studio is onsite, where she processes wild-harvested clays and teaches small group workshops on pottery making and outdoor firing. We build community through our love of art and the outdoors. Come visit us in this private oasis ringed with big old trees and remnants of historic industry, just a few minutes' walk from downtown!
