Welcome to the iconic Emerald Lodge, a spacious mountain retreat above Nickajack Lake near South Pittsburg, Tennessee! This five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home sleeps 12 and offers vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, and inviting spaces to gather. Enjoy the pool table, relax in the hot tub, or spend an evening around the wood fire. Many outdoor activities are nearby and Downtown Chattanooga is 25 minutes away if you want to enjoy city life and more urban adventure!
The Space:
Our Favorite Things About Emerald Lodge
Vaulted ceilings and tall windows bring warm light and woodland views into the open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area. Settle onto the large sectional beside the stone fireplace or prepare a meal in the fully stocked chef's kitchen. Appliances include a pancake griddle, slow cooker, Nespresso machine, and a dual coffee maker for a 12-cup pot or single serving.
Downstairs, the large game room level has a pool table, two large flat-screen TVs, and games for the entire group. The back patio offers a hot tub, with a wood-burning fire pit and charcoal grill outdoors.
Family-Friendly Details
A stair gate for the upstairs landing, Pack ’n Play, bedroom sound machines, and children’s plastic dishes are provided. Alexa Bluetooth devices are located throughout the home, and all bedrooms except the bunk room have their own TVs.
Home Layout
To the right of the front door is a queen bedroom with a private full bathroom. To the left are a half bathroom off the living room, a large laundry room, and the luxurious primary master suite. Its bathroom has a soaking tub, large glass shower, and double vanity.
Downstairs, the second living area and game room open through double doors to the back patio. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms are on this level. The bunk room has four twin beds, and the other two bedrooms each have a queen bed.

Hales Bar Marina is about 10 minutes away, and Chattanooga is about 30 minutes away for restaurants and attractions.

We recommend a vehicle to get to and from the home and explore all our city has to offer.
Other Things to Note:
This is a truly special retreat, and we invite guests to enjoy the property and amenities while treating the home and its surrounding grounds with care and respect.
We strictly DO NOT allow smoking, events, or parties.
Nickajack Lake is visible through the trees in winter. When the trees are in leaf, the lake is not visible.
A steep, paved residential road leads up the mountain. A textured concrete driveway descends to the home. Normal passenger vehicles can reach the home without any issues; four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended in icy winter conditions.
Parking is prepared for up to five medium or large vehicles.
Four complimentary Nespresso pods are provided per reservation, along with a starter supply of medium-roast ground coffee for the drip coffee maker.
Security cameras are located on the exterior of the home.

We were very pleased with the property and overall, the visit exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend to any large family looking for a peaceful getaway in the mountains of Chattanooga. One minor complaint- it had rained the couple days leading up to our stay, so the grass had not been cut. The issue was when the lawnmower service showed up to cut the grass in the middle of the afternoon on the day after we had already checked in. I requested they come back after we check out couple days later. The mower agreed, apologized, and left. However, communication from property management could have been better.

Overall our stay was great, the ding on stars was due to some cleanliness concerns in the master bedroom. We found some clusters of long dark hair on the blankets, sheets, pillow cases and robes the evening we first arrived. Not the end of the world, we picked them off of what they were on, threw them away and went on with our stay. Aside from that outlier, the house was immaculate and gorgeous throughout.
