Summary:
Welcome to the Barn on Hemlock Hill!
Located in Chatt Valley just south of Downtown Chattanooga in the beautiful countryside of North Georgia. Includes a NEWLY added 4 person hot tub! "The Barn" offers views of Lookout Mountain and is a great place to rest, relax, and enjoy the four acres the property sits on. This home is a 15 minute drive from the adorable town of Saint Elmo and nearby attractions like Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, and Rock City. We would love to host you!
The Space:
This unique stay sleeps 4 people across two levels and has one full bathroom. There is one bedroom downstairs that has a queen bed and access to a quiet outdoor seating area. In the common space upstairs there is a living room with a large smart TV, a fully stocked kitchen, a full bathroom, and another queen bed. The fully stocked kitchen includes all plate-ware, cups, mugs, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. There is a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. There is no dishwasher. Lastly, there is a drip coffee maker with Folgers medium roast coffee provided.
This property is dog friendly! 2 dogs max!
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole barn.

Getting Around:
Uber and Lyft are not always reliable in the Chattanooga area, so we recommend having a vehicle to fully enjoy everything the area and city have to offer.
Other Things to Note:
The main home on the property is also an Airbnb. You will have your own private entrance with a door code and other guests staying in the main home will not be have access to the barn.
There is an “employees only” door located beneath the barn apartment we use for property supplies - you may see cleaners or members of our team discreetly coming in & out during your stay!
There is a fire pit below the deck. You will need to bring your own camping chairs and wood for the fire pit.
This property sits up on top of a hill! There is a fairly steep asphalt driveway that leads to the top! Any normal passenger vehicle should be able to make it to the home with no problems but 4x4 or all-wheel drive is recommended during icy conditions in the winter time.
If you would like to use the hot tub you will need to bring your own hot tub towels!
Most, if not all, homes in our area have lady bugs. To stay ahead of this we are on preventative monthly pest control maintenance for all of our properties. Thankfully, they are harmless! But please know you may likely see ladybugs in or around the home during your stay.

We are available if the guest has any questions, but we like to give our guests their own space.

Home was very clean. Enjoyed the use of the hot tub. The home was very close to a lot of the adventures we wanted to do - Rock City, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, etc. The area is filled with various State Parks that you can drive to - some close by and some a couple of hours away. It was close to town and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay there.

The cabin was very clean and welcoming. The area was very nice. The directions to get to the cabin was confusing. The actual address 167 W Schmitt worked better than the instructions given to put in 165 W Schmitt. The upstairs air conditioning did not work very correctly, and there was no instructions on how to use the remote. We had to put a fan at the bottom of the stairs down stairs to pull cool air up on the first day we checked in for our stay. The hot tub was very nice. The house right in front of the cabin had people staying in it, and it was kinda creepy they could watch us from the window on the end of the house facing the hot tub. The bed upstairs was comfortable. The bed downstairs was not. The mattress rolls you to the middle of the bed in a permanent slope and was not so good on our backs. The shower curtain was very annoying to deal with and the inside liner did not look clean. Hope the feedback helps with future VRBO stays. The cabin was very clean and we loved the front porch. My husband said corn hole boards would have made it even better :)
