About this villa rental
Enjoy a peaceful stay in this carefully maintained Mammuttihirsi log villa (64 m² + 14 m², 79 m² in total) near the shore of Lake Ihtinkijärvi in West Ruka, Kuusamo. Built in 2007 and lovingly kept by its owners, the villa sleeps up to 8 guests and suits couples and families alike. It offers a private electric sauna, a cozy fireplace and an air source heat pump for cooling, with outdoor activities starting right from the yard. A snowmobile route is 600 m away, Ruka`s ski slopes 7 km, and the nearest grocery store 6 km. This is an allergy-friendly, non-smoking property and pets are not allowed.
The villa`s layout is distributed across the ground floor and an upstairs loft.
Living room & Kitchen: The ground floor offers an open-plan kitchen and living room with a fireplace, a television with a DVD player, a CD player and a selection of board games. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric stove, coffee maker, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, along with tableware for 8 people and cold and hot running mains water.
Bedrooms & Loft: Two bedrooms on the ground floor each have a double bed. The upstairs loft adds 2 single beds and one 140 cm bed, giving 8 sleeping places in fixed beds. A high chair is available for the youngest guests.
Bathroom & Sauna: The washroom includes a shower, an indoor toilet, a washing machine and a drying cabinet for outdoor clothing. Directly connected is your own private electric sauna. An iron, a vacuum cleaner and cleaning equipment are also provided.
Outdoor area: The spacious terrace features a dining set for 6 people, and the yard has a private campfire site equipped with a smoker box and a Muurikka griddle pan. Firewood from the wood shed and a wireless internet connection are included in the price. It is about 100 m to the shore of Lake Ihtinkijärvi, where guests have a private rowing boat and a sandy-bottomed beach. In winter you can borrow 2 ice fishing sets (each with an ice auger and 2 rods) and two pairs of snowshoes, plus steering sleds and regular sleds for children. Parking with a car heating plug is available in the yard.
Please note that final cleaning and bed linens are not included in the rental price, but can be purchased separately from the host.
