Claybottom Farm consists of a kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster, a dining room, and two sitting rooms, one with a woodburning stove. The bedrooms include a super-king-size zip/link (can be twin on request) with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, a king-size, and a twin, along with a shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a ground-floor cloakroom. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, along with a starter pack for the woodburning stove. A travel cot is available on request and a highchair is provided. Outside, there is off-road parking for 3 cars and an enclosed rear garden with lawn, furniture and mature shrubs. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 1.9 miles, pub 1.2 miles. Town: The fellside village of Hesket Newmarket is located on the edge of the UNESCO National Park in the Northern Fells and has a well-stocked local shop, and its own cooperatively owned pub and brewery, The Old Crown Inn. Caldbeck is 2 miles to the west with village shops, pub and café. For the more energetic there is fell walking, cycling and pony trekking along the Skiddaw and Blencathra range. Ullswater and Keswick are both within a short drive away where a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants await. The village is an ideal base for exploring Lakes Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite. Further afield you will find the natural beauty of the Solway coast, well-known for its links golf course and the market town of Cockermouth, the birthplace of William Wordsworth are close by, whilst also within driving distance is the cathedral city of Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders.
