This splendid property, set within a tranquil rural setting, is ideal for families or friends seeking a secluded escape for a relaxing holiday in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Situated in the charming rural village of Great Witchingham, this peaceful location offers a quintessential English village setting, surrounded by open fields, woodland, and quiet country lanes. Local amenities can be found in Lenwade (2 miles), where you can enjoy riverside walks along the River Wensum and access countryside trails. Nearby Dinosaur Adventure Park and Whitwell and Reepham Railway are two popular family attractions within 5 miles. Royal Norwich Golf Club within 2 miles. The historic city of Norwich is less than 15 miles away, where you can explore the independent shops, and visit the cathedral and castle. Wroxham (17 miles) is known as a gateway for exploring the Norfolk Broads: hire a boat, go kayaking, or follow the nature trails and enjoy wildlife watching.
Walk through the pretty garden and enter through the double doors leading into the kitchen of this welcoming property. The cottage is entirely on the ground floor and features elegant, stylish furnishings and decor, creating lovely spaces to unwind and spend quality time together. The kitchen features all the appliances you need to cook up feasts, with a breakfast bar for informal meals. For a more unhurried dinner, there is a dining table in the lounge/dining area. Alternatively, in fine weather, doors from the kitchen lead out to the patio and the dedicated dining space where you can enjoy al fresco dining. Along the long hallway from the kitchen are a sleek bathroom, a delightful king-size bedroom and a pretty king-size bedroom. Both bedrooms boast a Smart TV for lazy mornings in bed and come with ample storage. At the end of the hallway, flow into the inviting open-plan lounge and dining area. This space has a home-from-home feel where you can relax together chatting about you adventures exploring local Norfolk attractions. The dining table is positioned at the back of the room and after dinner, you can unwind on the soft, comfortable sofas and chairs and enjoy watching a movie together on the Smart TV. The seating is set in front of a brick fireplace that houses a wood burner, so pop on a log to create a cosy ambience in the cooler months. A door from the lounge leads out onto the patio.
