Nestled in a quiet & peaceful neighborhood in the historic district of downtown Shelbyville, this FAMILY-FRIENDLY home offers unique dining experiences, seriously good shopping & the fairgrounds less than a mile walk away. Have you ever wondered what true Southern charm feels like? At Bourbon, Bridles & Birdies, every room is designed to capture just that! Imagine cooking in a fully stocked kitchen while family gathers by the bonfire, bourbon in hand or dinner on the grill, as the kids play happily outside or downstairs. All just steps from a Hallmark-worthy walkable Main Street filled w/ great food, antique shops & boutiques. Just 25 min from Louisville - close to the city, yet a peaceful retreat to come home to. Everything in this home is purposefully put there to make your stay feel like home!! We are truly grateful to get the opportunity to serve you in this capacity!

KITCHEN - As a family with two boys who travel often, we know how important it is to have a kitchen where you can truly cook. Our goal for you is simple: just bring your groceries! We’ve stocked the space with everything we could think of—lots of utensils, spices, condiments, cookware, and serving pieces. Enjoy coffee your way (Keurig, drip, or French press), plus a kettle with tea, crockpot, blender, cocktail set, and brand-new appliances. We hope this is a place where you gather, cook, and make lasting memories together.

BASEMENT - When we bought this home, my vision was this - the adults could be cooking, drinking, enjoying the simple things in life, while the kids could go downstairs and make all the noise, play all the games, and build all the things until their hearts were content. However, we did not forget about the adults! There is a big table to play board games, poker (chips included), putter golf, & ping pong while watching sports on the TV.

FAIR WARNING - Parts of the basement are really LOW so please be careful! Adults will have to duck under some spots, such as the duct work and huge pipe running down the middle of the basement (insert eye roll). 6'4" people and above will probably not feel comfortable in the basement for too long.


Travelling time to general area attractions:

+ Clear Creek Aquatic Center and Public Park that has a nice playground, outdoor and indoor pickleball courts, gym, indoor pool with lap lanes and kids pool, outdoor splash pool with beach entrance and 2 slides. Admission to use anything indoors and the outdoor pool is $8. Everything outside is free. (6 min away)
