Hot Tub | Firepit | Putting Green | 5 Bedrooms

Top rated by guests
Pull a chair around the fire the second the sun drops — string lights flicker on, the hot tub's already glowing behind you, and this is where the whole trip starts to slow down.
You'll want four stools at this island once breakfast turns into an hourlong hangout — room for everyone to help or just watch.
You'll circle back to this island from the dining side and the whole layout opens up — plenty of counter space for a bourbon tasting spread.
Pour your coffee here first — two barstools right at the island for whenever you're up earliest and don't want to talk yet.
Grab a putter and call your shot — two flags waiting in the yard for a friendly contest before dinner, no golf course drive required.

About this house rental

Summary:

Picture this: the fire pit crackles while bourbon stories spill into the Kentucky night, steam rises off the hot tub under string lights, and someone's lining up a putt on your own backyard green. Ten of your favorite people, one quiet Shelbyville street, minutes from the world's most famous bourbon trail. This isn't just somewhere to sleep between distillery tours — it's the trip everyone keeps talking about after.

The Space:

ABOUT THIS SPACE

You'll pull up to a warm, well-kept home on a quiet street where the loudest sound most nights is a distant train. Inside, wood-beam ceilings and soft lighting set the tone — this is a house built for gathering, not just sleeping.

The living area is where the group ends up every night: deep seating under the wood

beams, a smart TV, and a straight sightline into a dining room built for twelve — the

kind of table where bourbon tastings turn into two-hour conversations.

The kitchen is stocked to actually cook in: full range and oven, dishwasher, coffee

maker, wine glasses for the table, a blender, even a rice maker and trash compactor.

Whoever's on breakfast duty will have what they need.

Five bedrooms, each with a king bed, split across two floors — three on the main level

sharing a hallway bath, two upstairs sharing a full bath. Expect soft linens and enough

separation that early risers and late-night talkers don't have to share a room. Three

full bathrooms mean nobody waits in line, and every one is stocked with shampoo,

conditioner, body wash, and plush towels.

Then there's the backyard, why most guests book this house. The hot tub sits under

its own pergola, lit for evening soaks. The fire pit and lounge seating become the

unofficial hangout by 9pm, and the putting green means the golfers in your crew

never leave the property. A double washer-and-dryer setup means you can pack light

and still do a mid-week load.

Whether you're basing a Bourbon Trail run here, hosting a family reunion, or need

enough beds and backyard for a big group to relax together, this house was built to

hold the whole trip — tastings, late nights, and mornings after.

LOCATION & WHAT'S NEARBY

You're based in Shelbyville, the town locals call the heart of the Bourbon Trail — and the location backs it up. Bulleit Distillery and Jeptha Creed Distillery are both right

here in Shelbyville, about a 10-minute drive. More than half of Kentucky's famous

distilleries sit within an hour: Woodford Reserve in Versailles (about 45 minutes), Four

Roses and Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg (about 45 minutes), and Jim Beam's

American Stillhouse in Clermont (about 50 minutes). Buffalo Trace Distillery and the

State Capitol in Frankfort are a roughly 35-minute drive.

Downtown Louisville is about 35-40 minutes west via I-64, putting Churchill Downs,

the Kentucky Derby Museum, the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, and the

bourbon bars of Whiskey Row within reach for a day trip. Louisville International

Airport (SDF) is a similarly easy 35-minute drive. Closer to home, Shelbyville's historic

downtown has antique shops and a public Sculpture Walk, plus the Outlet Shoppes of

the Bluegrass up the road in Simpsonville.

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR

Bourbon Trail groups will find this the ideal home base — close enough to hit two or

three distilleries a day without long drives, with a backyard built for decompressing

between tours. Multi-generational families gathering for a reunion will appreciate five

separate king bedrooms and three full baths, so each generation gets its own space.

Golf-loving groups get a bonus round on the putting green without leaving the

property, and five couples splitting a long weekend will love that every bedroom has

its own king bed. Anyone planning a milestone celebration — a birthday, anniversary,

or bachelorette weekend — will find the hot tub, fire pit, and 12-person table built for

exactly those nights. Traveling with a well-behaved dog? We welcome up to two pets

for a fee.

Guest Access:

Check-in is fully self-guided — no coordinating arrival times or waiting on a host. You'll receive a private 4-digit smart lock code for the front door before arrival, plus

access to our Guest Portal covering check-in instructions and everything you need before you walk in. Guests have full access to the entire home: all five bedrooms, all three bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas, laundry room, and the backyard including hot tub, fire pit, and putting green.

PARKING

Parking is off-street and included at no extra cost — four vehicles fit comfortably on the rear parking pad, accessed via the alley behind the home, plus one additional

space directly in front. That's enough room for most groups arriving in separate cars Street parking in front of neighboring homes is not permitted, out of respect for the quiet block — stick to the pad and front space and you'll have zero issues

Other Things to Note:

This property is equipped with two outdoor security cameras, one facing the front door and one overlooking the backyard, to help ensure guest safety and protect the home. We also use a Minut noise-monitoring system, which detects noise levels and smoking both inside and outside the property. After confirming your reservation, you’ll receive access to our Guest Portal, which must be completed before check-in. It includes your check-in instructions, house rules, and required guest information.

You will also be asked to review and sign our external rental agreement. During this process, you’ll have the option to purchase a nightly damage protection plan (damage waiver) for coverage against accidental damages during your stay.

Large home extremely clean, hot tub was in perfect condition, well maintained and enjoyable for the whole family. Weather was unexpectedly cold but we stayed warm in the home and found the fire pit a perfect place to sit around and enjoy the Bourbon we bought in Kentucky.

It was a beautiful space -- a neat, old home with spacious bedrooms and communal spaces -- great for a family gathering. There were a few things missing, but the host was quick to rectify any concerns. The hot tub was great, and the kids loved the putting green. I would definitely considering staying here again, though I would look at other places, too, as I think it was a bit overpriced.

We enjoyed our brief stay at this property - It was clean, spacious, close to a lot of things, and nicely decorated. We were traveling as 4 families - 8 adults, 2 babies under 2, and three dogs. The host was kind enough to approve our dogs before our stay (please note that if you're bringing a pet, the backyard isnt fully fenced in)! We felt that each room was very spacious, although I will say that the beds are very firm (which some in our group loved, and some didn't). The back parking area was big enough to fit 3 full sized SUV's, and we parked a truck out front, so there was plenty of parking space. The shampoo/conditioner holders were low, but the host let us know where the extra soap was to refill (and also offered to send someone to come refill them) - no big deal for us.Sadly, we only stayed one night and one day (out of our 4 night stay) due to the hot water not working. The host did everything they could to get it working again, but we were told it was an issue with the gas company. We waited most of the following day to see if it could be resolved, but ended up having to relocate so we wouldn't lose another day of our family vacation. The host was understanding and apologetic, and also provided a refund. I wish I could say more about the house, but we really weren't there long enough to enjoy the other amenities. We are a little disappointed that the hot water wasn't checked on before we checked in, but would still book this house again!
