Region: Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways – East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.
Town: Littleport is the largest village in East Cambridgeshire and is set on the banks of the River Ouse, approximately 6 miles north of Ely and 6 miles south-east of Welney. The historic village of Littleport has a range of amenities including pubs, shops and a leisure centre. The area surrounding Littleport is low lying and is home to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) reserve in the Ouse Washes, the winter home of thousands of swans and ducks from northern Europe and the Arctic. Also close by is the RSPB reserve at Ouse Washes which has walks across the wet grasslands, and the historic city of Ely with its museums and Oliver Cromwell's house is just a short drive away. The village of Littleport is a wonderful base for a holiday exploring Cambridgeshire.
