Knowing this adds a layer of depth to your morning paddle.Seaquest State Park & Mount St. Helens Visitor Center (10-minute drive): Just down the road, you will find Seaquest State Park, situated right across the highway from Silver Lake. While it is a longer day trip, it is entirely feasible to drive up, see the Space Needle, walk through Pike Place Market, grab a coffee at the original Starbucks, and be back at Silver Lake in time to light the evening fire.
