2 semi-detached cottages with a large fenced common courtyard that can accommodate several cars and 1 large shaded playground.
1 cottage with 4/5 places and 1 cottage with 10 places. The whole can accommodate up to 15 people and 7 kms from FUTUROSCOPE.
In the heart of a region of tourism and history, our site "l'essence du bois" welcomes you in spacious and well-equipped cottages and offers you beautiful services that will delight young and old (and your 4-legged friends).
You need holidays, nature, relaxation, friendship and/or sharing family relationships, our cottages are ideal for you whatever the season!
It is with great pleasure that we will welcome you to our holiday site "the essence of wood" to make you enjoy this beautiful tourist region serenely.
You will find many tourist attractions. For an overview of all the activities, go to the website of the Haut Poitou tourist office in Saint Martin La Pallu.
The FUTUROSCOPE is open 11 months out of 12 (closed in January) and the AQUASCOPE is open all year round but you should find out about the opening hours which change according to the time of year.
A must-do: the valley of the monkeys 3/4 of an hour from the cottages. To see the human tenderness of these annimals (especially the gears when they have babies).
From June to September, there is also an attractive park, the island of giants for children, 15 minutes from the cottages, beautiful medieval villages to visit 3/4 of an hour away.
Come and relax and enjoy the sweetness and beauty of the Marais Poitevins, also called "The Green Venice" (3/4 of an hour).
We accept holiday vouchers (including for services).
IMPORTANT:
There will be 1 or 2 deposit cheques to be given on your arrival (depending on whether or not you take the cleaning service. We did not want to rate it on the site because it would account for it, and even if they give it back to you at the end of the stay, it would require you to pay a fairly large advance.
In addition, we do not want to make the services: cleaning, bed linen and towels, mandatory, nor do we want to rate them on the site, otherwise they would count on the costs that the site takes from you. So, as an option, you have possible services that are to be paid on arrival. As soon as you have confirmed your reservation, we will send you a message to give you the nature and price of these services and we ask if you would like any.
the rates are as follows:
Cleaning: 140 €
bed linen (beds made): 8€/person
towel (1 towel + 1 shower towel + 2 gloves): 7€/lot
Everything is then recorded on an information sheet that we will send you, by email, that you will have told us if you take services and that you will have given us your email address and your city of residence.
Finally, for the same reasons, we do not note on the quote of the site, the electricity to be paid, it is noted on the information sheet: A meter reading is made on your arrival and departure and the consumption is due at the end of the stay. But don't worry, the cottages are very well insulated and for normal consumption, these costs will not be important.

Description of the cottages:
gîte l'érable: about 170m2.
On the first floor: A living room of 65 m2, composed of a large fitted kitchen, very well equipped, open, with central island, 1 dining room, and a living room.
A large hall leading to a toilet, a laundry area, a shower room and a staircase leading to the 4 bedrooms, 1 second shower room and 1 second separate toilet.
On the large landing 1 bedroom (2 beds of 90), the xc and the shower room. A corridor all in exposed stones leading to 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have 2 single beds, each and 1 bedroom with 1 bed of 9 and a bunk bed (double bed downstairs and 1 single bed upstairs), so 4 places in all.
