About this cottage rental
Cullercoats is a perfect quiet get-away with easy access by private/ public transport to the best the North East has to offer.
THE SPACE
The cottage has been designed for style and comfort; the main bedroom boasts a king-sized bed & en-suite bathroom which is rare in a cottage of this size. It features a chest of drawers and hanger space under the eaves. This ‘suite’ runs the full length of the entire first floor.
The downstairs bedroom is compact with a double bed. Cases under the bed are for clothes storage, and there are a few hangers on the back of the door. Please note there is limited storage space in this bedroom.
The kitchen is well-equipped and open-plan to allow light to travel through the entire property. The oval oak dining table with bench seating (2 fold-away chairs are under the stairs if benches are not to your liking) is large and sturdy, equally suitable to host long dinners among friends or as a work station paired with excellent wifi.
The lounge has a comfy 3 seater leather sofa and single leather chair together with a log-burner. There are also live plants! Feel free to talk to them!
There are two bathrooms, one on the ground floor and an en-suite on the first floor. Both are equipped with high-end Grohe fixtures and fittings with a shower, vanity and toilet.
Outside, there is a hose shower to wash off the remnants of fun on the beach, and a retractable washing line for getting beach accessories dry for the next day of fun (please refrain from putting sandy things in the washer/dryer). There is a small table and foldaway chairs under the stairs which can be brought out to enjoy the morning sun on the patio. This area can also be used to store surf boards, canoes, etc. for use on the nearby beach.
Finally, there is a bench on the pedestrian side of the street which is wonderful to catch the afternoon sun.
GUEST ACCESS
Fisherman’s Cottage is on a pedestrian street which adds to the peaceful tranquility. There is free parking for the street is accessed off the roundabout by the small lane down the side of the co-op. Enter this lane, then drive to the end of the car park which is opposite the line of fisherman’s cottages. Any space can be used.
Other things to note
We have used lovely materials in our renovation, and we hope guests love the quality of finish as much as we do. We have left ample place mats and coasters for guests to use so the furniture remains in a lovely state for future guests.
