About this house rental
There is also an Adirondack chair quiet corner outside of the primary bedroom door for reading or just sitting alone. On the opposite end, there is a metal bistro table with two chairs and an umbrella. Next to that is the screened porch.
The primary bedroom has a king bed and ensuite full bathroom with a shower. The secondary bedroom has a queen bed. The bunk room is a roughly 6x8 space that creates a cozy, fort-like feel for kids in the stacked twin bunks. There is also a comfortable padded cot that can be set up in one of the bedrooms or in the living room. The second bathroom is off the living room and is a full bath with a tub/shower enclosure.
The house sits on 4.5 acres. Walk the trails through the forest up behind the house or sit by the stream, enjoy a camp fire at the metal fire pit and let the deep peace of Mountain Thyme help you decompress.
Once recharged, enjoy the dozens of great hiking opportunities in the area, from the waterfall hikes of the DuPont Forest (35 minute drive), to the beautiful Green River and Pearson's Falls, just 15 minutes away. Downtown Saluda is just 1.9 miles from the house, The Village Bakery, Flat Rock Playhouse, and Carl Sandberg House and Trails are just 10 minutes away in Flat Rock, and Hendersonville's fabulous historic Main Street and the Ecusta Pedestrian/Cycling trail are only 15 minutes away.
The Saluda/Hendersonville region is known for having four different seasons, but all of them are mild. We never have the harsh northern winters or the hot, hot southern summers. Mountain Thyme is your sanctuary, a dose of mountain medicine that will immerse you in the magic of the mountain forests.
