Live Like a Local — On Foot
Start your morning with a coffee from SIP Maroochydore, just 300m from your doorstep. From there, follow Duporth Avenue until it opens onto the Cotton Tree Esplanade, a beautiful waterfront stretch loved by locals.
Take a dip on the calmer Cotton Tree side in front of the Caravan Park, or continue along the path to the surf side near the Surf Club for waves and a classic Sunshine Coast beach vibe.
After your swim, you’ll be spoiled for choice — the Cotton Tree and Maroochydore area is dotted with plenty of cafés, perfect for a post‑swim breakfast, smoothie, or lazy brunch.
Live Like a Local — By Car
Take a short drive to Mooloolaba Beach — recently voted one of the best in the South Pacific — for a morning walk or refreshing dip.
Afterwards, swing by Old Bean Espresso for a coffee and pastry at this much‑loved beach‑shack style spot.
If you’re after something more substantial, head to The Velo Project, a true local secret tucked in the backstreets of Mooloolaba and known for its creative, generous brunch menu.

• Noosa Heads – drive just 40 minutes north of Waterfront on Duporth for boutique shopping, dining, and iconic coastal walks.
• Beaches Galore - Mooloolaba Beach: 10 minutes; Maroochydore Beach: 5mins; Mudjimba Beach: 11 minutes; Coolum Beach: 18 minutes; Kings Beach, Caloundra: 30 minutes, Noosa Heads Main Beach: 36 minutes – perfect for swimming, surfing, and whale watching.
• Local Trails & Bike Paths – enjoy scenic rides along the coastline from Maroochydore up to Cotton Tree and down to the Point Cartwright Lighthouse.
For little and big ones:
• Discover the Sea Life Aquarium where children can learn and be amazed by the local aquatic environment.
• Take a drive to the world-famous Australia Zoo in Beerwah. It will be a highlight that your child will talk about again and again!
• Don’t forget the popular Kingfisher Drive Park in Bli Bli featuring a fantastic flying fox; lots of smaller climbing and balancing elements; and spaces to explore!

• If surfing is your gig, you have several enviable surf breaks including Noosa Heads, Mooloolaba at Platform and Alex, Moffats Point at Caloundra to choose from or if you feel like making a trip further north, Mudjimba.
• If aerial adventure is your thing, try ziplining at Next Level Park at Sunshine Plaza. Spread across 4 different levels, you’ll loop around 3 towers as you level up on one of the 145 aerial obstacles. For an adventure in the trees try Tree Top Challenge at the Big Pineapple.
• For the cycling enthusiast, the Maroochy River to Bli Bli Circuit will be a highlight. This 12km sealed loop traversing the David Low Way Bridge and skirting along the Maroochy River and local cane fields will fit that bill.
• Alternatively, hit the trails at Sugar Bag Road Mountain Bike Trails for epic berms and flowy descents.
• Can't resist the allure of art? Then visit the Noosa Regional Gallery, and you will be greeted with constantly changing exhibitions to piques everyone’s interest.
