You can do that here at Llawnroc — just stroll the minute's walk to the beach for a sunrise swim and then retreat back to the modern comforts of this Widemouth Bay cottage. Designed with a reverse-living set up, the property offers flexible sleeping arrangements across four bedrooms which all benefit from having ensuites. You can also enjoy sea views from the balconies upstairs — the perfect spot for wave watching or a sundowner.

Inside

Upon entering Llawnroc, you're greeted with a bright, airy hallway and natural wooden tones which wind their way throughout the house. This Widemouth Bay cottage has a contemporary reverse layout, with three of the four bedrooms on the ground floor as you enter. Here, you'll find a lovely master ensuite with super king bed. This room benefits from two sets of patio doors with access to the private garden, inviting in ample light. The second bedroom on this floor is a king ensuite and also enjoys patio doors leading onto the back garden. Lastly, there is a neat twin ensuite, as well as a downstairs WC.

The fourth bedroom is located upstairs and ideal as a children's room, consisting of two sets of bunk beds and an ensuite with bath tub. The rest of the upstairs space has an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, where families and friends can gather for meals and planning the day's adventures. One of the best features about this space are the two Juliette balconies which you can step out on; take in the fresh summer breeze here, or enjoy wave watching in the winter with a steaming mug of tea. There's also underfloor heating for added winter warmth.

Outside

As well as Widemouth Bay beach being quite literally on your doorstep, Llawnroc benefits from its own private back garden area, which has a mixture of grass and decking. Enjoy a family picnic here whilst watching the waves, or whip up a feast on the barbecue. The local village shop is well stocked, so you need not go far for essentials. This Widemouth Bay cottage has all the trappings for a beach side holiday, with a private storage shed for beach equipment, as well as access to a communal outdoor shower.

This stretch of coastline is a hot spot for adventurous water sports such as surfing, body boarding and coasteering. Whether you're a seasoned pro or have never stepped foot on a board before, there's numerous surf schools offering various levels of tuition so don't be afraid to try something new! Freewave Surf Academy are a brilliant local company with over 15 years experience. Little ones can also build sandcastles in the shallows of the wide, sandy bay and furry friends can join in too; to the southern end of Widemouth Bay beach beyond the rocky outcrop, you'll find Black Rock beach where dogs are free to roam year round. This wilder stretch sees big tides and impressive reef breaks. Just a couple of miles along the coast is the lively seaside town of Bude, which is a buzz of activity with numerous restaurants, eateries and shops as well as the famous Bude Sea Pool to explore. Once the day's adventures are done, you can retire back to the modern, cosy comforts of Llawnroc...
