Your very own “Posto al Sole” awaits you about 1 km past the Swiss border, in San Bartolomeo, the northernmost district of Cannobio. The narrow alleys and typical old houses of the small town center immediately give you the feeling that you’ve arrived in Italy. This 3½-room half of a house warmly welcomes you with its tasteful, modern furnishings, which blend perfectly with the old stone elements. The thick walls still tell stories of Alpine sturdiness and Mediterranean charm. Approx. 120 m² of living space is spread over two levels, connected by a cantilevered stone staircase. From the living area, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake. The adjoining balcony invites you to spend relaxing hours with a glass of wine. About 30 steps lead you from the front door to your private paradise, where you can completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The approximately 100 m² garden property is the perfect spot for the famous “dolce far niente” and offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains. When you see this view, you’ll understand exactly how the house got its name! If you’d rather not spend the day in a lounge chair overlooking the lake, you can explore the area on foot or by bike and let yourself be surprised by the ever-changing vistas. A store for daily necessities is a 5-minute walk away, and a public beach is located about 900 m away. The center of Cannobio, with its historic old town and beautiful lakeside promenade, is about 4 km away. You can park your car about 250 m below the house in a parking space that belongs to the property. For loading and unloading, you can drive up to about 150 m from the house and park in front of the church. From there, you can reach the accommodation via a path that is partially rough-paved. Pets are not allowed. The access road is not suitable for vehicles with lowered suspensions.
