About this house rental
Welcome to The Salty Otter, your coastal oasis between the St. Lucie and Indian Rivers! Just over a mile from charming Historic Downtown Stuart and steps from the Stuart Marina, you’ll be close to waterfront dining, fishing, marinas, boutique shopping, the weekend Green Market and beautiful Treasure Coast beaches.
Our beautifully renovated mid-century coastal retreat was designed for comfort, style and relaxation. The home sleeps up to 8 guests and features three private bedrooms with a king bed, queen bed and bunk beds, plus two full bathrooms—one with a shower/tub combination and one with a walk-in shower. You’ll also enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and cozy sectional for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Your Private Backyard Oasis
Step outside and embrace Florida living! Dine al fresco at the large picnic table, fire up the gas grill, gather around the concrete fire pit beneath the stars, or relax in the lounge chairs with your favorite drink.
Cool off in our crystal-clear cowboy pool—chilled during the summer and heated during cooler months. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee poolside or ending the evening around the fire, this space was created for making memories.
And yes—we’re pet-friendly with prior approval, so your furry family can join the adventure!
Location, Fishing & Waterfront Fun
Within walking distance, the pier and catwalk beneath the Roosevelt Bridge offer fantastic inshore fishing. Depending on the season, catches may include snook, tarpon, sheepshead, black drum, mangrove snapper, pompano and more. Keep an eye out for stingrays, sea turtles and even the occasional dolphin.
It’s also a spectacular place to catch a Treasure Coast sunrise, while the waterfront across the way provides beautiful sunset views.
The driveway accommodates 2 vehicles and, when properly backed in and unhitched, may accommodate a boat and trailer up to approximately 25 feet. Additional free street parking is available across from the property.
A Note About the Location
The Salty Otter’s central location is one of its greatest perks—but we believe in setting clear expectations.
This is not a secluded or completely quiet property. You will hear passing train horns throughout the day and occasionally at night, and you may sometimes hear live music drifting across the water from nearby waterfront venues. We provide white-noise machines in every bedroom for added comfort.
If absolute peace and silence are your priority, this may not be the best fit. If you value character, thoughtful amenities, access to the waterways and an exceptional location close to everything Stuart has to offer, you’ll feel right at home.
We can’t wait to welcome you to The Salty Otter!
