Riverfront property surrounded by water on a peninsula! Welcome to "Firefly House at Selah Manor"! This 3-bed, 2-bath vacation home located in Shelby County has waterfront access, provided by kayaks, paddleboards, boat ramp, a boat dock & more! Amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, foosball table, smart T.V.s, grill, fire pit, corn hole & hammock are also provided! Brew fresh coffee, then head out to tour local museums, go wine tasting at multiple different vineyards, visit state parks or hit the water! There is another home onsite as well available for larger groups!
The Space:
Step inside Firefly House at Selah Manor and discover a vacation home designed for comfort and fun! The home features three bedrooms, each offering a unique sleeping arrangement. Bedroom 1 boasts a luxurious king-size bed, providing a spacious and restful retreat. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each feature bunk beds, perfect for kids or groups of friends. The two full bathrooms are conveniently located and well-appointed. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for meal preparation, complete with modern appliances and cookware. The living room is a shared space for relaxation and entertainment. A game room provides hours of fun with a foosball table. Step outside to enjoy the porch, backyard, and front yard. The backyard features a fire pit and BBQ grill, perfect for outdoor cooking and gatherings. With waterfront access, kayaks, paddleboards, a boat ramp, and a boat dock, water adventures are at your fingertips.

Please note, once you turn onto the gravel drive, please drive SLOW. There are children playing frequently on this part of the drive.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying here and can’t recommend it enough. Before our arrival, we reached out to ask about the possibility of an early check-in, and they were incredibly accommodating. And allowed us to check in early at no extra charge. The house was adorable, spotless, and so comfortable, and the peaceful view made our stay even more relaxing. We truly enjoyed every moment and are already looking forward to coming back again!

5/5 – Perfect Weekend GetawayWe had an amazing weekend at the Firefly Guest House. The location was perfect—only about 20 minutes from the city, yet it felt completely secluded with gorgeous 360 lakefront views. It was an ideal spot for our group, with kids ranging from 7 to 15, plus our dogs who loved the space just as much as we did.The included kayaks and paddle board were a huge highlight and kept everyone entertained. Having Bozo’s Bait Shop within walking distance was incredibly convenient, and Mrs. Robin was wonderful—she provided all the information we needed and made sure we stayed fully stocked with firewood throughout the weekend.The cabin itself was perfect: very comfortable, clean, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The surprise s’mores package was a huge hit with the kids every night. We especially loved waking up to sunrise views through the beautiful open-concept windows.Evenings by the lake with a fire, playing corn hole, and watching the kids make memories were exactly what we hoped for. We will definitely be planning another trip back—hopefully in the summer so we can take full advantage of the lake and everything this beautiful location has to offer.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing, and family-friendly place to stay

Great house, host, ramp, dock and location on Lay Lake. We brought our boat and met up with family for some fishing while in Alabama. I would agree with other reviews that parking is very tight, big thanks to the host for quickly solving our issue with the family showing up. The house is wonderful and clean- thank for sharing it with us! Also, the welcome basket was greatly appreciated:)
