See the stars above from this rustic yet refined off-grid cabin in Howard, 20 minutes from downtown Salida. This unique and cozy yurt-inpired cedar cabin features a private bedroom with 1 queen bed, The loft area has 1 twin bed and 1 full bed, An inflatable queen bed is available and the sleeper chair in the living room folds out too.
Solar powered electric, LP gas heat and water, and satellite WiFi will keep you comfortable and connected. Property is off-grid, so solar panels power a battery system. If solar does not meet your electricity demand, there is an onsite Generac generator that will re-charge the battery and power the cabin.
During the summer months, gear up for all the fishing and rafting you can handle on the nearby Arkansas River. World class mountain biking is a stones throw away on the Rainbow Trail, Monarch Crest, and Salida trail systems. During the winter months, local's favorite (and hidden gem) Monarch Mountain invites skiers and boarders of all levels with newly expanded terrain and is 55 minutes away, door-to-door.
The Royal Gorge and Canon City are 50 minutes east through the Brown's and Big Horn Sheep Canyons.
Year round, you can relax and unwind right on the property while taking in the beautiful views.
