About this cabin rental
Star Mesa is on 5 private acres that stretch like a thousand. This is what wide-open mountain living feels like.
Wake up to the Sangre de Cristo peaks dominating your view. Step outside to your *private pond*—where the only sounds are wildlife moving through and the kind of silence most people forgot exists.
The stars here? Unreal. Zero light pollution, infinite sky. This is what people mean when they say "dark sky country."
A massive fenced yard means pups can run, explore, and be *fully* off-leash without you worrying. This isn't just dog-friendly—it's dog heaven.
Star Mesa isn't a place you visit once. It's the place you come back to, again and again, because nowhere else compares.
This beautiful log home includes:
~ two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed
~ a kitchen built for entertaining with a large entertainment bar and an open living/dining area
~ new gas stove/oven
~ front deck with a porch swing and amazing views of the 'Twin Sisters' peaks, and a large covered back deck with views of the pond and hills beyond.
~ 2 well behaved dogs are welcomed
All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, salt and pepper and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper napkins and toiletries.
Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 pm.
All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.
~Max of 2 pets at $15 per pet per night; acceptance of the terms of the Pet Policy is required.
~Discover, Visa, MC accepted for payments.
~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. Five to 7 days before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.
**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved over-occupancy or pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $1000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.
Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund minus a $125 Cancellation fee or a $75 Change fee if applicable. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.**

Absolutely one of my favorite places ...may be my top fav! Third time for us here....as I said in guest book it is just a classic beauty. Timeless. So quiet..private..just beautiful. Our dogs gave it 4 paws up! Love how it just always feels like coming home! Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of earth with us! The home is so welcoming...every time!

so enjoyed our time! While it's a bit out, that was what we wanted. And the drive into Salida was lovely. The well water was wonderful!! Hope to return!!!
