Sunday Sand Beach is a quiet out of the way hotel patronized by mostly Thai families. The front desk staff speak limited English, but enough to get the job done. They are friendly and willing to help with whatever you need (like calling a Grab car or motorcycle). There are no stores of any description within walking distance. You will need your own transportation or (as I did, use Grab) The only negative is the internet which is spotty and slow . The site shows a photo of a gym but the room was empty of any equipment when I tried to use it. I'm not a big exercise enthusiast, so I was not devastated.
There is a large pool with a depth of 1.5m at the deep end. The water was a bit concerning but it could have been the color of the bottom that made it look green, not blue a is shown in the photos. I never saw anyone in this pool.
The breakfast is passable but not more. Dinner was another story. Dinner was good and the menu was extensive including American, Italian and Thai dishes. Dining is alfresco with warm sea breezes blowing through coconut palms.
If you're looking for action, this place is definitely not for you. If you want a relaxed out of the way place where you can relax and unwind this could be a good fit.

ห้องดูโอเค ไม่ค่อยสะอาด เดินเข้าไปพื้นสากๆ เต้าเสียบปลั๊กหลุดออกมา แต่วิวดี เช็คเอ้าลืมสายชาร์จไว้ที่ห้อง พนักงานเก็บได้แต่ไม่ยอมคืน คุยกับพนักงานคนไทยบ้าง คนพม่าบ้าง ไม่รู้เรื่อง พนักงานไทย บอกจะติดต่อกลับ แต่เงียบหายไปเลย โทรไปก็ไม่รับแล้วเพราะไม่อยากรับผิดชอบ บอกว่าเจอ แต่ไม่คืน รบกวนเจ้าของตรวจสอบด้วยนะคะ พนักงานแย่มาก

Lack of maintenance, except the cleaning ladies, they do their best. I arrived at noon and they told me to come back at 2 PM to check in. In the mean time the reception had nothing to do , only telling the arriving guest to wait. At 2 PM at once 30 guest wanted to check in all together.... At 3:15 PM i got my room... No television works in the whole hotel... Many rooms have a problem with the airconditioning, i was lucky, mine only made some strange noice when starting cooling... The gym is an empty room. The hotel is far from everything, you need transportation. The wooden panel under the bath was broken and open, the one under the sink could not close and when taking a shower, under the sink was also a leaking "shower" so the bathroom floor was whole day and night wet... I killed 5 bugs... (big and small). The only good thing was the swimming pool. The beach is not as in the pics but mostly grass and stones and an old wreck of a boat. If you complain at reception the only say "sorry" but no action... Avoid this hotel!
