La Bastide 1820 — In the heart of the South Luberon
In the heart of the South Luberon, in a 30-hectare olive growing estate, near Lourmarin, the "Bastide 1820" is an authentic Provençal residence that can accommodate up to 12 people. Surrounded by greenery, it offers a privileged setting for holidays with family or friends, with a large private swimming pool, generous outdoor spaces and all the charm of an old house. We also had the privilege of receiving the program LA MAISON FRANCE 5 in May 2020.
With a surface area of approximately 500 m², the bastide has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and large living rooms allowing everyone to fully enjoy their stay. The house retains its character and family atmosphere, while offering the space and comfort necessary to accommodate a large group.
The living room, with its magnificent fireplace, invites you to cocooning evenings during winter stays.
Outside, the private swimming pool is the heart of summer days. The terraces and summer kitchen allow you to share meals in the open air, enjoy the long Provençal evenings or simply relax in the shade. Children and adults alike will also appreciate the games room and the various spaces where you can meet or isolate yourself in peace.
A few steps from the bastide, our olive oil mill, "Bastide du Laval", opens its doors to you: free and open visit of the mill and the olive grove (trilingual educational panels), or guided tours by reservation from Monday to Saturday. Our oils have been selected by the chef of the Élysée Palace and by starred chefs such as Michel and César Troisgros.
La Bastide 1820 is ideally located to discover the villages, markets and landscapes of the Luberon. Lourmarin, Cadenet, Cucuron, Ansouis and the other emblematic villages of the region are easily accessible, as are Gordes, Banon, the lavender roads and the Colorado Provençal in Rustrel. Hiking, wine estates, good restaurants, flea markets and Provençal markets will punctuate your stay.
The property is particularly suitable for families and groups of friends looking for a characterful, spacious and friendly house, in a peaceful environment, while remaining close to the main sites of the South Luberon.
