About this cottage rental

Bryn y Gog is a fantastic, large, detached house situated on a working farm, set in its own one-acre enclosed garden, with beautiful views over the market town of Tregaron, Ceredigion. The property also boasts magnificent views of the Cambrian Mountains.

There are many great walks right from the doorstep, and there is an Iron Age fort accessible to guests just 5 minutes walk from the house on the farmland. The area is a walker’s paradise. Close to the Cambrian Mountains Astro Trail, with Hostel Ty'n y Cornel, Llanddewi Brefi being the closest Dark Sky Discovery Site.

It is just a 10-minute walk into the market town of Tregaron, which sits on the western edge of the Cambrian Mountains and is a gateway to many sites of natural and historical importance in West Wales. All roads lead to the market square. It is surrounded by characterful buildings, including the 13th-century Talbot Hotel, an old drovers’ inn, which supposedly has an elephant buried in its grounds.

While in town visit the many shops and cafes or enjoy a drink or lunch at one of the town's three pubs. Aberystwyth is the nearest university town on the sea with a traditional promenade seafront and a funicular up Constitution Hill. Worth a visit.
