Serenity Cottage

We had a lovely stay!! The cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It felt peaceful and private, and we really enjoyed the calm surroundings. A great little base for exploring Swellendam and the surrounding area. We would happily stay again and recommend it to others.

We especially loved the very comfortable good quality beds. Because my partner is over six foot, we were thrilled that the beds were not standard length but extra length beds. The WiFi was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised with the fact that there was Netflix available at no extra charge. We spent our first night soaking in the hot tub (jaccuzi) sipping our complimentary wine. that had been placed in the fridge for us upon our arrival. The numerous extras we got were not expected so a pleasant surprise. There was coffee, milk and all sorts of condiments as well as wood and fire lighters for the braai. The accommodation was set in a peaceful quiet part of Swellendam with stunning mountain view from the outside private relaxation area. We were only minutes away from everything we could possibly need like restaurants and shops as well as easy access to hiking trails. The hosts were absolutely a pleasure to deal with and so friendly. They were committed to ensuring our comfort and nothing was too much trouble for them. The place lives up to its name Serenity. It was serene. I loved this experience and would definitely return in a heart beat.
