About this cottage rental

Staddle Stones Manor - A quiet acre of England, five centuries in the making. A Grade II listed Elizabethan Tudor cottage and barns set in seven and the half acres of paddock and orchard/English Cottage Garden. Hot tub surrounded by antique English Stone troughs brimming with herbs. Greatly positioned with easy access to the M40, local pubs and restaurants. Five miles from Birmingham International Airport, ten miles from Warwick Castle, fourteen miles from Stratford Upon Avon, historic market town, is world-renowned as the birthplace of playwright William Shakespeare, 45 minutes to the northern boundary of the Cotswolds take you to idyllic honey-stone vilages and far enough from everything else.......
Sits at the edge of Lapworth, a green-belt village in the heart of Warwickshire's Forest of Arden. The cottage dates to the mid-sixteenth century — oak beams, trusses, inglenooks, leaded windows, staddle stones, the sort of cottage that seems to have grown from the ground rather than been built upon it.
Inside: oak trusses and beams, a triple-aspect sitting room with inglenook, antique Elm Windsor rocking chair with foot rest in-front of the fire, library/snug with antique tapestry covering feature wall, vintage mid-century warm leather Danish Chesterfield sofa, wood burner/club fender fireside seat, well equipped kitchen with range cooker, separate dining room furnished with vintage Ercol Windsor dining table/chairs and antique church pew, four bedrooms across two floors.
Outside: a west-facing garden, an orchard, a wood-fired hot tub surrounded by antique English stone troughs brimming with herbs and seven and a half acres of paddock framed by mature hedgerow. Beyond the boundary, footpaths and bridle ways.
Beyond those, the canals and National Trust houses that draw people to this corner of the country in the first place.
