About this cottage rental

Maple House is a beautifully situated Cotswold holiday home, welcoming up to 10 guests (see Finer Details), in five bedrooms, with three bathrooms. The residence spans three floors, featuring spacious reception areas, a charming children's attic room with hand painted murals, and a large master suite with its own dressing room and statement sunken bath. An open plan kitchen/dining area serves as the heart of the home, leading to a bright conservatory equipped with a pool table and garden vistas. Outside, the garden offers further space including a patio, generous lawn with uninterrupted countryside views and the property's namesake maple tree, an impressive focal point with its seasonally changing foliage.

This five bedroom holiday cottage is perfectly situated in a quiet street just a short 10 minute stroll from bustling Chipping Campden. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

The maximum occupancy for this property is 10 guests, though the number of adults per booking is capped at 8. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 3 additional infants (aged 2 or under)

Off street parking is available for up to 4 cars
Travel cots and highchairs are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them

Maple House is very spacious and has a lovely big garden which was great as we had four very young grandchildren with us.Whilst the garden is great, it could do with a bit of tlc. The outdoor furnture and BBQ are a bonus as was the playroom which has a pool table although no one had a chance to take advantage. The bedrooms are all a very good size, particularly the master suite with dresssing room and en suite bathroom. All bedrooms have more than enough storage which is always a bonus. The downstairs is huge with a large utility room. We particularly loved the spacious open plan kitchen/dining room with the games room just off the kitchen so we could keep an eye on the little ones who are 5,3,2 and 10 months! They all had the best time too! The kitchen has lots of storage and is extremely well equipped. All in all, Maple House is fantastic and we would definately reccommend it. If we weren't looking to explore other areas in the UK, we would definitly re book. We are currently looking for a similar property elsewhere but struggling to find anything that comes close in terms of value and location. Maple House is a short walk to the beautiful town of Chipping Campden which is,by far, our favourite in the area.

On arrival the house was very clean and had everything you need for your stay , the garden was very nice with the swing and slide which kept the little ones happy , the garden it self needs a bit of TLC , grass cut and shrubs cut back and de weeded , the patio wasn’t swept up and could do with a pressure wash to make it look presentable, also the wine chiller in the kitchen makes a noise which is annoying but it keeps the wine and beer chilled , apart from that it was very nice and private, we all went out during the day and on our arrival home somebody had been in the house to remove a new washing machine in the utility room and they changed the outside seating cushions which weren’t as comfortable as the old ones but we thought we would have been informed that somebody was entering the house while we were out as our private belongings were in the house , Apart from that the house was lovely , The showers were excellent and there was everything you needed there to make your holiday lovely , the village of Chipping Campden was beautiful as well as the whole of the Cotswolds ,The Weather was fantastic so we made the most of the house and garden and I would highly recommend a stay at Maple House for a large family ,

It’s a lovely house and in a fantastic location for enjoying Chipping Campden and the Cotswolds. We enjoyed the sociable kitchen/diner and it was fun to play pool while supper was cooking! However, the cleanliness was an issue as a number of the carpets and rugs didn’t appear to have been cleaned or hoovered for our arrival. In the kitchen, the grill pan was also dirty and we were disappointed that there was no salt or pepper mill. We were also disappointed that we didn’t have any wood provided so we couldn’t have a fire on our first night, which would have been nice as it was November. I would be delighted to hear from you regarding any of these issues as we have used StayCotswold for a decade and a half for many, very precious weekends!
