About this house rental
Welcome to our home
We built this house with our own hands. We live there in winter, and every summer we have the pleasure of sharing it with travellers who, like us, come to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie in search of this mix of ocean, simplicity and sweetness of life.
The house is designed so that you have only one thing to do: disconnect from everyday life.
The spaces
A large open living room with its island kitchen, its living room around the fireplace and its dining area like a bench, the perfect place for aperitifs that stretch out or quiet mornings around a coffee. Outside, the wooden terrace and the garden are waiting for a rosé at sunset.
Upstairs, 3 comfortable bedrooms with hotel bedding: one with queen bed (160), two with double beds (140) including a quality futon. Two bathrooms, two separate toilets, enough for everyone to live together without stepping on each other.
The location
The "wild" beach is just a short walk away. A surf school is literally next door. The seafront restaurants are a 10-minute walk away, and the city center of Saint-Gilles with its market (a must!) is 15 minutes away.
The kitchen is equipped just like at home: bean coffee machine, juice extractor, oven, induction hob, dishwasher... A laundry room complete with washing machine and dryer. A workspace with a view of the dunes, for those who need to keep a foot in the office. And with Wi-Fi, of course.
Practical information
Self-arrival by key box from 4 p.m., departure at 10 a.m. Two secure parking spaces. For your first few days, you will find coffee, dishwasher and washing machine capsules, garbage bags and toilet paper (we want you to feel at home as soon as you walk through the door).PGJyPg
Small detail to note: the house has a floor with a slightly steep staircase, to keep in mind if you are traveling with very young children. And for the moment, we do not have a cot or a high chair.
We will not be there to welcome you, but we will share with you our favorite addresses, our secret corners and everything that can make your stay as pleasant as possible. PGJyPg
