About this house rental
Relax in this new one-bedroom lodge for two people, 900 metres from the beautiful beach of Grande Anse in Deshaies.
Located in the heart of a tropical forest, its bioclimatic architecture and its red wood construction make it an accommodation in tune with nature while offering you maximum comfort.
Our accommodation
Located at the end of a private road, in a quiet area, in a large property, the new lodge consists of an air-conditioned bedroom of 14 m2 with its bathroom open to the outside with walk-in shower and its separate suspended toilet.
The central room, open to the terrace, houses a kitchen area and the TV lounge.
This very open architecture allows natural ventilation of the living areas.
The 35 m2 deck with its private swimming pool (2.50 m x 2.00 m) and its covered terrace of 12 m2 serve as a place to relax. The view of the forest will immerse you in total with nature.
The kitchen is fully equipped:
Combined oven/microwave, induction hob, fridge-freezer, Senseo coffee maker, French press, toaster, kettle, washing machine.
In the extension of the terrace, a private garden dominates a ravine with its stream where the birds sing.
Travelers' access
Travelers have the entire lodge and can walk in their private garden (but not fenced) and also take the track that goes down to the small river below.
Other remarks
We bought the land in 2018. About thirty years before, it was an old farmland where the jungle had taken its place. We started to make tracks with a machete to assess the topography of the place. We were then able to clear and set up the three buildings (our house, the 2-bedroom Lodge and the 1-bedroom Lodge).
Noble trees, such as Courbaril, Mahogany and Peyi Pear growing on the land, allowed us to make some of the lodge's furniture. There were also large volcanic stones.
We left three large mango trees to keep cool and replanted plants and shrubs around the buildings. A large part of the land was simply cleared and the trees preserved. Below the buildings, you can access a small stream by a "trace" (path) where you can find cocoa trees and vanilla plants, cannon woods, breadfruit trees, cheese trees and mango trees.
Today, in 2026, the one-bedroom Lodge is built and it is ready for your stay.
