About this house rental
A nice, quiet location to get away and experience island life. Enjoy fishing, family time and fun.
The space
There is a whole island to explore within a few hundred meters of the house! Fishing, swimming, crabbing and snorkelling from the beach or boat.
Guest access
There is walking access to multiple calm bays and beaches on the lee side of island and a short drive to ocean side beaches for more exciting swimming. Bring a kayak or paddle board for the calm side and boogies boards for the ocean side.
The house is located a 45min drive up the island from the Curtis ferry drop off point. Please see the Curtis Ferry Services website for ferry days and times. You will need your own 4wd vehicle to access the Gatcombe Heads end of the island.
Other things to note
Linens, towels, bedding and toiletries are not supplied.
The house is run off 240VAC solar that needs no maintenance by guests, being that it is self sufficient.
The house water supply is fed from rain water tanks so please be mindful to conserve water when you can.
Hot water is supplied by 120l solar system.
The kitchen is fully self contained, featuring a large fridge/freezer, chest freezer and gas stove. The washing machine is a twin tub for water conservation purposes.
There is a gas BBQ available for use as well.
