Beyond Alma Del Rio is a private riverfront retreat made up of two separate villas, Villa Ora and Villa Ella, located approximately 60 feet apart. Renting the entire property gives your group five bedrooms, two private pools, multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas, and plenty of space to enjoy time together without giving up privacy.

Villa Ora is the larger three-bedroom villa. It features two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs near the pool. The upstairs level includes a screened living and dining area surrounded by jungle and river views. Downstairs, guests can enjoy a spacious covered poolside area with a bar, seating, and a hanging chair.

Villa Ella offers two king bedrooms, with one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs. It has its own private plunge pool and comfortable indoor-outdoor spaces overlooking the Macal River. Each villa is fully independent, making the property especially comfortable for extended families, couples traveling together, or groups who appreciate having their own space.

Guests can gather around either pool, relax in the screened lounges, enjoy the river views, or walk to the nearby Alma Del Rio riverfront area. Paddle boards and life jackets are available for guests who would like to explore the Macal River. Our concierge team can also assist with tours, transportation, private massages, private chefs, and authentic Maya cooking classes.

The property is located in the Cristo Rey area, approximately 10 minutes from San Ignacio. This provides convenient access to restaurants, shops, the market, and many of western Belize’s most popular attractions. We are also located along the road leading toward Mountain Pine Ridge, making the property a convenient base for visiting waterfalls, caves, Maya sites, and other jungle adventures.

Although the villas feel surrounded by nature, this is not an isolated wilderness property. There are neighboring homes and properties nearby, and the main road can be heard during busier hours. Occasional vehicles, local activity, dogs, birds, and howler monkeys are all part of the natural and residential surroundings. The monkeys can sometimes be surprisingly loud, especially in the early morning or evening.
