Welcome to The Benjamin! Featuring three beautiful bedrooms and one full bathroom, this newly renovated apartment has everything you need to feel right at home. Conveniently located just minutes from Yale and downtown New Haven, this beautiful space features central air, a washer and dryer in the unit, fast WiFi, a four seat breakfast bar, new stainless steel appliances, and a shared second floor porch. The Benjamin is the perfect spot for your next trip!
Whether you`re staying for a weekend, week, or an entire semester, The Benjamin is the perfect spot for your New Haven visit. This private 2nd floor apartment was JUST renovated in 2026 from top to bottom. We have devoted an entire year to creating a space that our guests will love. Please note that, although this is a new listing, we are experienced super hosts. This architect designed unit is sparkling clean and a includes all of the basic amenities that you need to feel at home, including:
- All bedding and extra blankets and pillows
- Towels, toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board
- Washer and dryer in unit.
- Complete dishware, pots and pans, and cooking supplies
- On-street and off-street parking (please see a note about parking)
- Gigabit speed WiFi with free Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Disney+
- Pack and play, high chair, inflatable mattress, and desks are available if needed
-Roku TV with MAX, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, and Disney+
Regarding supplies: Please note that we do provide starter items, such as paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing and shower items, that will last you the first few days. If guests run out of these items or there is something not provided in the unit that they need, guests are expected to obtain these items on their own. We have a list of grocery store options in our guidebook if needed.

Guests will have access to this entire 2nd floor apartment, the shared hallways, balconies and back parking area.
Colin and I like to give our guests their space; however, we do live nearby and are able to stop by as needed.
Our home is located in the historic Prospect Hill section of New Haven. This neighborhood is home to perhaps the finest architecture in the entire city - a collection of large mansions from the mid to late 19th and early 20th century. These homes once belonged to wealthy industrialists, Connecticut governors, elite educators, and business luminaries. Many of these properties have been wonderfully restored in the past few decades and the area now offers terrific opportunities for architecture fans and history buffs.
Although New Haven is a relatively walkable city, it is easiest to explore by car. If you don`t have a vehicle, then there are ubers, lyfts and taxis.
Yale Shuttle and City bus stops are just blocks away.
E-bike and e-scooter rentals are also available a few blocks away.
The farmington canal trail is just minutes away and is a walk/bike-only trail that cuts connects downtown New Haven all the way to MA.
Union Station is just 15 minutes away, where you can take Metro North to nearby towns (or all the way to New York`s Grand Central Terminal) or Amtrak to various cities and states.
* Please excuse the appearance of the front yard and back parking area. This is a *brand new* house. The landscaping is our next fun project! :)
Parking: Limited off street parking is available in the back of the house. We do our best to guarantee one car per unit. At times, however, the parking lot may be full. If the parking area is full, guests must park on the street. Street parking is free and easy on our street.
Noise: This is a multi-family home, so you should expect to hear guests staying in the other apartments.
*Construction on the house next door may be going on during the day in 2026, so you may hear construction noise during the day.
Shared Spaces: All porches and balconies are shared with other guests in the house.
