About this apartment rental
The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay, including an oven, microwave, freezer, washer-dryer and coffee machine. It opens into a bright dining area, perfect for enjoying meals together before or after a day exploring the coast. The spacious living area makes the most of the apartment's spectacular sea views, with large windows overlooking the Bristol Channel.
Step onto the private balcony to watch fishing boats pass through Ilfracombe Harbour, seabirds soaring overhead and, if you're lucky, seals or porpoises playing in the water below. It's the perfect place to relax and soak up the ever-changing coastal scenery.
The apartment comfortably sleeps up to four guests in two spacious bedrooms. The principal bedroom benefits from its own modern en-suite bathroom, while a second stylish family bathroom serves the rest of the apartment, offering plenty of space and convenience whether you're travelling as a couple, family or with friends. The super-king room can be changed into two singles upon request at the time of booking.
One of the biggest advantages of staying at No. 5 Compass is its superb central location. Leave the car in your dedicated private parking space—located just a few yards from the apartment, a real luxury in central Ilfracombe—and explore the town on foot. Wander around the picturesque harbour, admire the iconic Verity sculpture by Damien Hirst, browse independent galleries and boutique shops, or enjoy fresh seafood in one of the many cafés and restaurants. Traditional fish and chips are never far away either, with three popular fish and chip shops within 200 yards of the apartment. For those bringing four-legged companions, there are plenty of scenic coastal walks and dog-friendly places to enjoy nearby.
When you're ready to venture further afield, North Devon offers an abundance of unforgettable days out. Discover the award-winning golden beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, perfect for swimming, surfing or simply relaxing on the sand. Explore the dramatic scenery of the South West Coast Path, cycle or walk the famous Tarka Trail, visit the breathtaking landscapes of Exmoor National Park, or spend the day discovering charming villages, hidden coves and spectacular viewpoints scattered along the coastline.
Please note: The property is only suitable for children aged 6 years and over. Access to the apartment is via 58 steps, and there is no lift available. As such, the property may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility or those who have difficulty climbing stairs.
