Kickback Cove is located in a very private, wooded area up the hill from the Cove. It is a rather Steep incline from Cove and dock to the house for people who have difficulty walking. However, there is the flagstone patio outside of the home and also the screen porch for those who want to stay up off of the water so it would work for most people. A grandchildren really enjoyed the dock and the upstairs deck over the water. We rented a pontoon and it was very easy to get from the cottage to the main body of the lake which was absolutely stunning! We stayed there from August 14 until the 19th and except for a few sprinkles, the weather was absolutely perfect on the lake. The grocer, lake rentals, and a couple of good restaurants are very nearby the house. I think as a rental owner myself, I would recommend that Keith update the cookware and some of the bedding this year, but other than that the house was as advertised. We saw some wildlife, took walks and hikes on the trails and enjoyed having fairly easy access to the main areas of Lake Gaston. It was a great family vacation! Thank you

The property is nice and quiet. Very well equipped kitchen to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner. House location is a short ride to the local food lion and they have a new bakery within walking distance from the house. This was my second stay at this house and like last time the family and I had a great stay.
