About this house rental
This is a personal home made available while the owner is away for part of the year. It is not a sterile corporate rental or empty investment property. Guests should expect a warm, lived-in space with books, a personal library, owner belongings, artwork, and character throughout. The home is best suited for guests who appreciate staying in a real residence and will treat the space with care and respect.
The main living area is open, bright, and welcoming, with soaring windows, high ceilings, natural light, treetop views, and comfortable seating. It is a great space for relaxing after a day exploring Charlottesville, visiting UVA, hiking, attending a wedding, or touring local wineries and breweries.
The kitchen and dining area provide plenty of space for meals, coffee, takeout from nearby Belmont restaurants, or a quiet night in. The home’s layout gives guests room to spread out, with multiple living areas and flexible spaces that work well for families, couples, small groups, remote workers, and longer stays.
The primary bedroom is peaceful and full of natural light, with high ceilings, large windows, and a comfortable bed. The second bedroom and studio/flex space provide additional room for guests, work, reading, or relaxing. With 3 full bathrooms, the home is convenient for groups who want more privacy and less waiting.
One of the home’s standout features is the private wellness space. Guests have access to a home gym with exercise equipment and a private sauna, making it easy to keep up with workouts or unwind after a long day. Guests use the sauna and gym at their own risk and should use all equipment safely and respectfully.
Outdoor space includes a deck/patio area with a quiet residential feel and surrounding greenery. It is a comfortable place to enjoy coffee, read, or relax outside. Please note that this is a residential neighborhood on a narrow dead-end street, so guests are expected to be respectful of neighbors and keep noise reasonable.
The location is one of the home’s biggest advantages. Belmont is one of Charlottesville’s most popular neighborhoods, known for its restaurants, walkability, and easy access to downtown. The home is approximately 1 mile from the Downtown Mall and walkable to Belmont dining. UVA, local wineries, breweries, hiking trails, concert venues, and wedding destinations are all within easy reach by car.
Parking is limited to 2 vehicles total, which matches the available parking spaces at the home. Street parking is not permitted for extra vehicles because the street is narrow, dead-end, and needs to remain clear for neighbor access.
Dogs may be allowed with prior approval, provided they are over 1 year old, house-trained, and non-destructive. Dogs must be crated any time guests are away from the home. Unapproved pets, puppies, or unattended uncrated dogs are not allowed.
This home is a good fit for guests looking for a spacious, comfortable, character-filled stay in a great Charlottesville location. It is not a good fit for parties, events, large gatherings, guests seeking a hotel-like corporate rental, or anyone uncomfortable with staying in a real personal home.
