Cocoonr is offering this former stone sheepfold for rent in Saint-Barthélemy-le-Meil. It is air-conditioned, measures 100 m² and can accommodate up to 8 guests. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included – we’re just waiting for you!
The property is laid out as follows:
On the ground floor:
– A 45 m² living room with a sofa, TV and dining area.
– An open-plan fitted kitchen, including: an electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob…
– A shower room with a walk-in shower.
– A separate toilet.
Upstairs:
– Bedroom 1: a queen-size bed (160x200) and a travel cot.
– Bedroom 2: a queen-size bed (160x200) and a single bed (90×190).
– Bedroom 3: a double bed (140x200) and a single bed (90×190).
- A separate toilet.
For even greater comfort, the owners provide the following additional equipment: high chair, washing machine, cot, plancha, fan, ironing board and iron.
Outdoors:
– A south-facing terrace of 30 m² offering a breathtaking view of the secluded Talaron valley, with garden furniture provided.
– A shaded terrace under a pergola measuring 60 m² with garden furniture, a mini-kitchen with a plancha and a fire pit provided.
– A fully enclosed 400 m² garden, with a pétanque court, table tennis table, spring-fed pond and direct access to the hiking trails.

Nestled on the heights of Saint-Barthélemy-le-Meil (Col de Buriane, 750 m above sea level), this carefully renovated sheepfold combines authenticity with modern comfort. Here, there are no neighbours and no traffic noise — just birdsong and the light filtering through the chestnut and pine trees.
You’ll have access to all essential shops, as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars and a market right in the town of Cheylard (around 8 km away).
Nearby activities:
– Hiking, swimming in lakes and rivers, canoeing, etc.
– A visit to Vernoux-en-Vivarais, 10 km away.
– A visit to Saint-Agrève and Saint-Martin-de-Valamas, 13 km away.
– A visit to Lamastre, a town with typical Ardèche character, about 15 km away.
– A visit to the medieval village of Désaignes, about 20 km away
Transport:
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the house’s private car park (5 vehicles).

– Valence railway station is 1 hour’s drive away.
