Welcome to Seabatical in Carova OBX! Enjoy the breathtaking views from this semi-oceanfront house located within the 4x4 beaches of north Corolla. Picture yourself enjoying your morning coffee from the ocean-view deck as the famous wild horses roam freely nearby. This house is reached by driving 10.6 miles on the beach after the pavement ends in Corolla. Take a true “Seabatical” and escape your everyday life at this beautiful retreat.
Built in 2020, this 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath coastal retreat sleeps 8. All four bedrooms boast stunning ocean views with walk out deck access in each. The spacious and open great room is wonderful for family gatherings with plenty of seating as well as a large, fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy your meals both inside or outside on the screened in porch, savoring the breeze and listening to the sound of the waves. The fenced backyard oasis is the heart of this home: a sparkling private pool surrounded by a sun deck with loungers and Adirondack chairs, a bubbling hot tub for starlit evenings, a gas grill for cookouts, and an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. Watch the kids swim from the shaded porch or climb to the top deck and count the whitecaps.
The upper level has a spacious and open great room with a flat screen TV. Enjoy the stunning sea views with walk out access to your furnished deck. This level also has a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and plenty of seating both at the dining table (seats 8) and breakfast bar area (seats 4). Adjacent to the kitchen is the screened in porch with a dining table. On this level you will also find a master suite with king bed and a bathroom, flat screen TV and deck access.
The middle level contains the entryway which opens up to another master bedroom with a king bed and bathroom, a flat screen TV and walk out deck access. On this level, you will find a second bedroom with a queen bed, a flat screen TV, and deck access. Adjacent to this room is a third bedroom with 2 twin beds, a flat screen TV, and deck access. On this level in the hallway, you will also find a full bathroom in addition to a laundry area.
On the lower level, relax and unwind in the pool and hot tub. You will also find an outdoor shower, corn hole boards, gas grill, and a Traeger 34 Pro smoker/grill (bring your own pellets). We provide beach chairs for your use but you will want to pack your own beach towels. The pool and hot tub is open from 5/2 - 10/3.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome with a pet fee and prior approval, no cats. Please keep your pets on a leash and away from the wild horses.
• 4WD vehicle is required to reach the home — the paved road ends in Corolla, and it`s a scenic 10.6 mile drive up the beach.
• Bed linens and bathroom towels are included, plan to bring your own beach towels and beach blanket.

• Beach access is a short walk (or an even shorter drive) over the dune. Parking passes are required on Currituck County beaches between the last weekend of April and the first weekend of October. This home provides two beach parking passes. When parking on the beach, please ensure your vehicle is parked with the trunk facing the ocean.
